Leonel Baquerizo, the founder of Global Select Seafood (GSS), has broad experience in international trade. He is the owner of Chupamar S.A., a company specializing in producing, processing and exporting sea products from Ecuador to the North American, European and Japanese markets. This wealth of industry experience and expertise provides Global Select Seafood and, in turn our business partners, with the necessary tools to compete successfully within the industry.

Our Mission

We are focused on providing our customers the best prices in the market for any variety of fish or shellfish. Our extensive network allows us to find the prices you need to grow your business. We are constantly expanding with new customers, new vendors and new products.

We accomplish our goals using a team approach with fishing vessels, seafood farmers and processing companies. We share our knowledge in harvesting methods, processing techniques and logistics with our business partners to increase the performance of our suppliers and better serve our customers.

Quality and Safety Guarantee

In order to guarantee the quality and safety of all our products; we make sure they are being harvested, processed, stored and shipped in accordance with USFDA HACCP Rules and Regulations. We require our entire supply line, both domestically and internationally, to have a HACCP plan in place.
